Join the LA Chapter of Room to Read at The Surly Goat in West Hollywood for Beers for Books on Wednesday, August 4th from 7 – 10 p.m. Beers for Books is a really simple idea to raise money for childhood literacy in developing countries. The concept is simple: For every beer you have, $1 will be donated to Room to Read and that buys a treasured book for children via Room to Read. www.roomtoread.org

James Watt from Brewdog in Scotland will be at the surly goat on March 20 6-9 pm.

From the same folks behind April's LA Beer Fest at Sony Studios in Culver City comes the first LA Septemberfest at Paramount Studios with 60 breweries, ~200 beers, music, BBQ, etc.

Tickets are $40 - unlimited pours - likely to be no ticket sales at the door.
